Sedona, Arizona is known as many things. A natural paradise with telltale red rock formations; an outdoor recreation hub laden with hundreds of miles of hiking and biking trails; a town known for its southwestern art markets; and finally, it is where spiritual energy has made a home in ethereal landmarks called vortexes.

“Climb the mountain not to plant your flag, but to embrace the challenge, enjoy the air and behold the view. Climb it so you can see the world, not so the world can see you.” - David McCullough Jr. #climbmountains #hikingculture #hikingdogsofinsta #blackandwhitephotography #blackandwhite
Apparently, back in the 60's a guy named Carl Heine (postman and camp counselor) was encouraging the kids at his summer camp to get some exercise by hiking Mailbox Peak. To prove they made it he put a mailbox with a notebook inside as a kind of log book. Apparently those kids were pretty tough, cause the almost 4,000 foot vertical in a little more than 2.5 miles made our legs scream out for mercy. Glad we got in the exercise and got to spend more time outside. Cheers! #mailboxpeak #hikewashington #seattlehikes #seattlewashington #seattlephotographer
This time last year, we were exploring South Africa, so I decided to try out some of my wildlife shots for my B&W project. Hope you all enjoy and have a great week. #leopard #wildlifephotography #wildlife #krugerpark #timbavati
Can you believe we have been social distancing for more than two months? This is a shot of one of my last outings, a week or two before lockdown. The group was in great spirits, talking about the next places we wanted to explore. Little did we know that we wouldn't be exploring much of anything for a while. Hopefully we can all get back out there together soon. #itsbetterwhenweretogether #snowshoeing #washingtonian #seekmorewilderness #seattlephotographer
