Seattle, Washington! We have called Seattle home for 6 months now and could not have expected how much we would love it. It is spring now and our neighborhood is bursting with color and light.
Decided to combine #wildlifewednesday and #tbt this week with a shot from my trip to Africa this last spring. I originally didn't share this photo because I was 'keeping it for myself'. I don't how to explain that, it was my favorite image, and I just didn't share it. Maybe it was selfish, maybe it was fear that others wouldn't see the beauty that I see. I was recently reminded that although artists should not seek recognition from others, sharing the art is a gift to the creative universe. So I have decided to put it out there, I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. #wildlifephotography #wildleopard #africansafari #leopard #southafrica #southafrican
I am a little frustrated right now because I made the mistake of overbooking my calendar this fall, and I have yet to get out with my camera. So instead I spent a little time looking through some old images and came across this one from Alaska. I was in awe at this expansive place. One could probably spend their entire life in this part of the world and continuously take unique shots. This is the beauty of photography, even when you can't experience it directly, you can always transport yourself back to a great memory. Hope you are all having a great pumpkin spice season. #alaskaphotography #wrangellstelias #alaska #fallcolors🍁🍂 #fallcolor #mountainstories
Over the past year, this amazing place, both Seattle and the PNW, has taken hold of me. Transitioning to a new city is hard at times, but the people here are as much a part of my captivation as the alluring landscape. I have so much more to explore and so many people to meet, but if year one is any indication, my future here is nothing short of exciting. A special thanks to all the friends, both new and old who have welcomed me so warmly. #newcitywhodis #emeraldcity #seattlephotographer #kerrypark
Usually the best way to learn is to fail. But some lessons aren't about doing something necessarily wrong, but about subtle changes that eventually teach you how to be better. In my most recent blog post, link in profile, I talk about cutting out some of the fat that gets in the way of expressing your creativity, especially with photography. I hope you will read it and let me know what you think. Do you have any photography questions? Comment and I'll address it in one of my upcoming posts. Have a great week! #bigsur #bigsurcalifornia #californiacoast #sunset_love #beachsunset

As our first year in Seattle is coming to an end, I was thinking back to how we ended up here. Around three years ago (has it really been that long!) my wife @louisiana.pearl and I set out on a course correction that would do exactly that, change our lives. We spent almost a year on the road, touring the US and Canada, partly searching for a new place to call home. This throwback shot from that journey is a reminder of the time we spent reflecting (see what I did there?) on our lives and what we wanted from the future. That journey eventually lead us to Seattle, and we couldn't be happier. So if you're in need of a course correction, turn the wheel, life isn't meant to stand still. #tbt🔙📸 #sedonaarizona #arizona_landscapes #redrocks #southwestrocks #takemehome
